Terms of Service
The basic terms that apply to monitoring and support services from Virtual Sites Security.
Nature of the service
Virtual Sites Security provides remote video monitoring, verification, response coordination, operational observation and reporting services. We are a monitoring and business-operations partner. Services are delivered under a written agreement and post orders specific to each site.
What monitoring can and cannot do
Operators watch visible activity within available camera coverage during agreed hours. We do not guarantee that every crime, loss, misconduct or emergency will be detected or prevented, and activity during a connection outage is not observed. Unreachable feeds are reported.
Client responsibilities
Clients provide working cameras with usable images, adequate upload bandwidth, named access accounts, a written monitoring protocol, and accurate contact and authorized-person lists, and keep them current.
Response and emergencies
Response actions follow the client's written protocol. Mobile response is provided where contracted; police and fire response is at the discretion of those agencies and we cannot guarantee whether or how quickly they respond.
Operational and financial services
Workforce, finance, inventory and telecom services provide observations, verification support and reporting. Final accounting, payroll, tax, legal, employment and financial decisions remain the client's responsibility.
Term and fees
Agreements specify an initial term, monthly fees and notice periods. Free security tests carry no fee and no automatic conversion to paid service.
Liability
Our liability is limited as set out in the service agreement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
