Stop them at the fence line, not at the front door.
Intrusion detection draws protected zones over your camera views and arms them on a schedule. Crossing a line, climbing a fence or lingering at a gate triggers an operator review before the subject reaches anything worth stealing.
Layers of detection, from the street to the asset.
Rather than one big motion zone, we build concentric layers: approach (sidewalk, street), perimeter (fence, wall, gate), and interior (yard, dock, storage). Each layer has its own sensitivity and response. The approach layer is for awareness; the perimeter layer triggers a talk-down; the interior layer triggers dispatch.
- Virtual fence lines along the actual physical boundary
- Directional line-crossing so delivery exits do not trigger alerts
- Loitering timers at gates, doors and dumpster areas
- Arming schedules that follow your hours, holidays and shift changes
- Thermal camera support for dark, unlit perimeters

Boundaries we protect
Fences, walls & gaps
Chain-link, block walls and the gap behind the dumpster that everyone forgets — covered by line-crossing rules.
Gates & vehicle entries
Vehicles stopping at a closed gate after hours, tailgating behind a legitimate exit, or parking against the fence.
Interior high-value zones
Tool cribs, fuel tanks, copper stock, inventory cages — an inner layer that triggers immediate dispatch.
Mapped on a site walk, tuned over two nights.
A VSS technician walks the site, photographs each camera view, and draws zones with you. We then run the rules in shadow mode for two nights, review every event together, and adjust sensitivity before the program goes live.
About intrusion detection
With IR illumination or thermal cameras, yes. We will tell you during the site walk which camera views are too dark to be reliable and what it would take to fix them.
Arming schedules and authorized-person lists handle normal late work. For irregular hours, a quick text to the monitoring center suspends a zone.
Motion from weather is filtered by the analytics layer. Only classified people and vehicles crossing a zone reach an operator.
