Highest theft exposure

Job-site security that works from grading to punch list.

Construction sites lose more to theft and vandalism per square foot than any other property type — copper, tools, lumber, fuel, and now catalytic converters off the fleet. Our monitoring is built for a site that changes every week and has no permanent infrastructure.

The exposure

What actually walks off a job site

Based on more than a decade of guarding Southern California construction projects.

Copper & wire

Stripped from new rough-in, often within days of installation. The number one loss on commercial jobs.

Tools & material

Lumber packages, appliances staged for install, and tool boxes left in containers with cheap locks.

Equipment & fuel

Skid steers, generators, and the diesel in them — plus catalytic converters cut from fleet trucks at the fence line.

Trespass & liability

Teens, encampments and copper hunters who get hurt on site become your claim, not theirs.

Coverage design

How we cover a job site

The perimeter first, then the stockpiles, then the equipment — with coverage redrawn as the project moves.

  • Virtual fence along the full perimeter with directional line-crossing
  • Loitering alerts at gates and known fence gaps
  • Interior zones over laydown yards, containers and fuel
  • Mobile towers where the site has no power or structure yet
  • Monthly re-aim as buildings go vertical and sightlines change

A typical night

One night on a mid-rise job in Koreatown

Site arms automatically

Gates closed by the super; perimeter and yard zones arm on schedule. Operator runs first virtual patrol: 11 cameras, no exceptions.

Vehicle slows at the east fence

Sedan stops twice along the fence. Logged and watched. Drives off after four minutes.

Person inside the fence

Analytics flag a person in the laydown yard. Operator verifies on live video — subject with bolt cutters at the wire spools.

Live audio warning

Operator describes the subject's clothing and location over the horn speaker. Subject drops spool and exits via a cut in the north fence.

Response unit on site

VSS unit 6 arrives, photographs the fence cut, checks containers and remains 30 minutes. Client text sent with clip.

Report in the super's inbox

Nightly report with the clip, fence-repair recommendation and a flagged vehicle plate from 23:40.

Questions

Construction Sites monitoring FAQ

That is what our solar, LTE-connected towers are for. They can be delivered within days and moved as the site develops.

Yes. We re-aim cameras and redraw zones monthly or at each phase change — it is included.

Routinely. If their cameras are IP-based we connect to them; where coverage is missing we fill it.
