Response

Detection is only useful if someone actually shows up.

Response is managed from the same desk that watches your cameras. Our operators dispatch a VSS mobile response unit or a standing officer to your site, coordinate with police, and manage the incident from first alert to closed report.

The escalation ladder

Each site gets its own response plan — and we follow it.

Before go-live we write post orders with you: what warrants a warning, what warrants a patrol, when police are called, who gets a text at 2 a.m. and who waits for the morning report. Operators execute exactly that plan and record every action against the video.

  • VSS mobile response dispatch with ETA tracking
  • Standing-guard deployment for sites that need a person on scene until morning
  • Police coordination with live camera narration to responding units
  • Emergency contact tree with escalation if no answer
  • Post-incident site securing (board-up and fence repair coordination)

How it is delivered

One desk, start to finish.

Most monitoring companies hand response to an outside guard firm and lose visibility. At VSS the operator who verified the event is the one who dispatches the response unit and closes the incident record. You get one call, one report and one accountable party.

About incident response & dispatch

It depends on your location and the unit’s position when dispatched. Across our LA and Orange County coverage the typical range is 10–25 minutes; we share real ETAs and the unit stays in contact with the operator.

Only according to your post orders. Many clients authorize immediate police contact for active break-ins and request a call first for anything else.

Yes — we can hold a guard on site, coordinate board-up or fence repair, and supply the report and footage your insurer requests.
