How we protect your cameras, your data and what our operators see.
Confidentiality obligations
Every operator, dispatcher and technician signs a confidentiality agreement covering everything observed on client cameras and in client systems. Observations are shared only with the contacts you authorize, through the channels you authorize.
Access to your systems
We access cameras, recorders and business systems only through named, role-based accounts that you create, with the minimum permissions required and multi-factor authentication where supported. We never use owner logins, shared passwords or employee credentials, and you can revoke access at any time.
What we do not do
We do not use facial recognition. We do not profile individuals. We do not monitor restrooms, changing rooms, break areas designated private, or the interior of residences. Any camera that sees such a space is masked or excluded.
Monitoring center security
Our Los Angeles monitoring center operates with controlled physical access, redundant internet and power, encrypted connections to client systems, screen-privacy controls, and logging of operator sessions.
Footage and reports
Clips and stills we export for incidents are stored encrypted with the incident file for 12 months and delivered only to authorized contacts. Your recorder remains the system of record under your retention policy.
Incident response
If we believe client credentials or data have been exposed, we notify the client's designated contact without undue delay, revoke affected access, and document the event.
Licensing
Virtual Sites Security holds California Alarm Company Operator license ACO #8182. Operators are licensed and background-checked under California BSIS requirements.
